Apps

Apps are applications that provide additional features beyond those already present in Open2b. You can choose the apps you want and install them in the admin with a few clicks, and just as easily remove them.

Apps integrate seamlessly with the store because they open directly inside the admin without requiring you to log in again. In addition, menus in various admin subsections (for example, in the products subsection) let you quickly run operations provided by installed apps.

Available apps are published in the Store. To access the Store, go to the Apps section in the admin and click the Store icon. In the Store you can choose the apps you want and install them in the admin with a click. Once installed, an app's icon appears in the Apps section alongside the other apps.

Benefits of apps:

Install an app from the Store

  1. Go to the Apps section.
  2. Click Store.
  3. Select the app to install.
  4. Click Install.

Change an app's position

Note

Items in the Apps menus in the admin are ordered based on the app order in the Apps section.

  1. Go to the Apps section.
  2. Click and hold the app icon you want to move, then drag it to the desired position. If you use a touch screen, tap and drag the app icon to the desired position.

Delete one or more apps

  1. Go to the Apps section.
  2. Select the checkbox to the right of the apps you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.

External apps

Open2b allows you to build, or commission from third parties, new apps tailored to your needs. Since these apps are for your exclusive use, they do not need to be published in the Store and are therefore called external.

External apps are also installed from the admin, but in a different way, and the installation should be performed by the developer who built the app or under their guidance.

To learn how to build external apps and, if needed, publish them in the Store, you can consult the developer site.

Install or edit an external app

  1. Go to the Apps section.
  2. Click Manage.
  3. Click Install External App.
  4. Set or edit the fields and permissions required for the external app to work correctly. See the developer site for details.
  5. Click Install.
