Website
The Website section lets you customize your store website both in terms of visual appearance and managing pages and the blog.
Specifically, you can:
- manage banners and menus
- change the logo
- translate text into a language
- edit HTML and CSS sources
- add and edit pages
- write articles to publish on the blog
- apply a new template to the site
Customize the website
Clicking Customize opens a page where you can customize the store website and preview the changes you make.
You can both save the changes you made to resume later and apply them online immediately.
The following are the sections you can find in the customization page:
Note
Which sections are present can vary depending on the template and the Open2b edition. Also, depending on the template, additional sections may be present.
Other templates
When you click Customize, you are customizing the template currently online on your store website. The template name is shown just below the preview images of the site.
You can also put another template online and customize other templates as you do for the one currently online. All templates, both the one online and the others, are located in the design folder in your site space.
To access the design folder, if your Open2b is in the cloud then by scrolling down the page you have the option to enable FTP access to the space where you can find all templates. If you have an installed version of Open2b, then you should contact your technician who manages your server or the company that provides your website hosting service.
Make a copy of a template
Making a copy of the template currently online is useful if you need to make customizations that take time and in the meantime want to keep the ability to make online changes such as changing a banner or a menu item.
- Access the
designfolder on the site space. - Download to your computer the folder of the template currently online or another template. The folder name corresponds to the template name shown in the Website > Design section of the admin.
- Rename the folder you just downloaded.
- Upload the new folder to the site space.
From Website > Design you can then customize the new template and put it online once it is ready.
Delete a template
Note
If you delete the template currently online, the store website remains online. To customize it, you will need to put another template online.
- Access the
designfolder on the site space. - Delete the template folder. The folder name corresponds to the template name shown in the Website section of the admin.
