Import Danea EasyFatt Catalog into Open2b

The integration lets you load products from Danea EasyFatt into the Open2b catalog in a few simple steps, all or in part. Orders received in the e-commerce store managed with Open2b can then be exported and loaded into Danea EasyFatt, with all the information needed to manage them, such as customer billing and shipping data, amounts, and stock levels of ordered products.

For the integration to be enabled, Danea EasyFatt must be configured for the Open2b connection. To enable the connection in Danea EasyFatt:

  1. Access Danea EasyFatt.
  2. Select the menu item Tools > Options.
  3. In the Modules > Enable support for: section, select Ecommerce and indicate the number of ecommerce sites you want to connect
  4. Click Close.

Every change to the catalog made in Danea EasyFatt can be quickly brought back automatically into the e-commerce store. You can:

You can choose between two different methods to import the Danea EasyFatt product catalog into Open2b:

Direct import of the catalog from Danea EasyFatt

To directly import products in bulk from Danea EasyFatt:

  1. Access the Open2b admin.
  2. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea EasyFatt.
  3. Select I update directly in Danea with the following settings:. The URL address for direct update in Danea EasyFatt is shown; copy and save it in Danea EasyFatt in the dedicated section Tools > Ecommerce > Update products > Settings along with the same access credentials used to access Open2b.
    In Danea EasyFatt you must select the products you want to upload to the online store managed with Open2b, then activate product updates:
    • For each product you want to import, in the Features section, select Publish to e-commerce
    • In Tools > Ecommerce > Update products > Status, if you want to only add new products or update some already imported into Open2b, select Send only modified items for faster import.
    • click Send.

Import the XML file exported from Danea EasyFatt

To import products in bulk from the XML file exported by Danea EasyFatt:

  1. Access Danea EasyFatt.
  2. Select the menu item Tools > E-commerce > Update products.
  3. In Tools > Ecommerce > Update products > Status, if you want to only add new products or update some already imported into Open2b, select Send only modified items for faster import.
  4. Click Save to file and then the Save button to save the EcommProdotti.xml file on the computer.
  5. Access the Open2b admin.
  6. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  7. Select I save the article file from Danea and import it into Open2b.
  8. Click Browse...
  9. Select the EcommProdotti.xml file previously saved.
  10. Click Import.

Group multiple products in Danea EasyFatt under a single product in Open2b

Open2b lets you present in the catalog, as a single product and with selection options, all possible combinations (SKUs), such as color, size, dimension, etc....

In Danea EasyFatt two different situations can occur. The various SKUs are created as individual products, or the Danea EasyFatt function for generating sizes and colors is used.

Group multiple single products in Danea EasyFatt under a single product in Open2b

If you want multiple products in Danea EasyFatt to be presented as multiple SKUs of a single product in Open2b (with variants that identify them, such as size, color, dimension, etc..):

  1. in Danea EasyFatt, initially select to publish on the web only the SKUs that will be the primary SKUs in Open2b. The primary SKU in Open2b is the SKU that is created by default when a product is created, without variants, options, etc..
  2. run the import. The procedure will create products in Open2b.
  3. In Open2b, create the other SKUs to associate with the product. These SKUs correspond to products already existing in Danea EasyFatt as single products and that you want to group under a single product. You can proceed manually, or by working with bulk import via an Excel file. The association must be created by entering the SKU Code equal to the Danea EasyFatt SKU code
  4. From now on, Danea EasyFatt imports will also work for updates by creating the association with SKUs.

Configure product import rules

Open2b lets you customize the import rules for the Danea EasyFatt catalog to fit specific needs. Managing the e-commerce activity may require differentiating the commercial presentation of products to customers compared to how the catalog is normally managed in Danea EasyFatt for accounting purposes.

Prices

With Open2b you can create multiple price lists for products sold, in order to offer different prices, for example list prices and sale prices, to certain types of customers, usually grouped into Customer Groups.

To associate Danea EasyFatt product price lists with Open2b Price Lists:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Prices panel, select, corresponding to the price lists present in Open2b, the Danea EasyFatt price lists you want to associate. If left blank, the import procedure will not update prices.
  3. Click Save.

Net or gross product weight

To choose whether to import net or gross weights in Open2b:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select whether to import net or gross weight.
  3. Click Save.

Available or reordered stock levels

To choose whether to include in the import the stock that is not in warehouse but reordered:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select whether to import only the available quantity or also the quantity reordered from suppliers.
  3. Click Save.

Images managed with Danea EasyFatt

To import product images from Danea EasyFatt, the import must be done through the automatic procedure (first method) and not via the XML file. To choose to import images from Danea EasyFatt:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Manage images with EasyFatt if you want to import images.
  3. Click Save.
Important: Selecting this rule will delete any images inserted directly in the Open2b admin. Open2b lets you manage multiple images for each product. For example, if a Sweater product has a Color variant, you can add different images to the product for each color. It may therefore be useful not to use this rule if you want to present an image gallery on the online store products.

Product names in Danea EasyFatt

To import product names from Danea EasyFatt:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Manage product names with EasyFatt.
  3. Click Save.
Important: Selecting this rule will overwrite the names already entered in Open2b. By disabling this rule, you will avoid losing any changes you have made. You might choose to present products in the online store with different names than those in Danea EasyFatt. If the product is new, the name will still be imported even if the rule is disabled.

Product description in Danea EasyFatt

To import product descriptions from Danea EasyFatt:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Manage long description with EasyFatt.
  3. Click Save.
Important: Selecting this rule means the Danea EasyFatt Web Description (HTML) will be used for the long description in Open2b and the update will overwrite the long description already entered in Open2b. By disabling this rule, you will avoid losing any changes you have made.

Manage barcode with Danea Easyfatt

To manage the barcode with Danea Easyfatt:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Manage barcode with Easyfatt.
  3. Click Save.

Manage supplier product code with Danea Easyfatt

To manage the supplier product code with Danea Easyfatt:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Manage supplier product code with Easyfatt.
  3. Click Save.

Manage visibility of new products

To manage visibility of new products:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Make newly added products visible, if you want the update to set any new products to Visible in store status.
  3. Click Save.

Delete products no longer present in Danea EasyFatt

To delete products from the Open2b catalog that are no longer present in Danea EasyFatt:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Delete products not present in Easyfatt if you want to delete from Open2b the products already removed in Danea EasyFatt.
  3. Click Save.

Import sizes and colors from Danea EasyFatt

Open2b can create products already complete with SKUs with sizes and colors if the relevant function for product management is used in Danea EasyFatt. To import products with sizes and colors:

  1. Go to Catalog > Import/Export > Import Danea.
  2. In the Options panel, select / deselect Import sizes and colors
  3. Select which Variants created in Open2b should be associated with the Size and Color present in Danea EasyFatt
  4. Danea EasyFatt creates all possible size and color combinations, assigning them an automatic code that can be replaced with a barcode; therefore it may generate combinations that you might not be interested in or able to manage at the moment. To avoid importing them, you can select Create only combinations that have EAN13, UPC, or ISBN13 barcodes.
  5. Click Save.
Important: The only code associated with size/color combinations in Danea Easyfatt is the barcode. When importing products with sizes and colors, EasyFatt provides the product information without size and color and then all the combinations. This results in Open2b creating a product with multiple SKUs, but the first SKU has no size or color associated. To avoid this, the product code and one of the codes present in the “Barcodes” section of size and color management must be the same.

Relationship between Open2b Departments and Danea EasyFatt Categories

Danea EasyFatt Categories correspond to Departments in Open2b. The main differences are two:

Generating Open2b Departments from Danea EasyFatt Categories

During import from Danea EasyFatt, Open2b generates as many departments and sub-departments as there are Danea EasyFatt categories and subcategories. If the import from Danea EasyFatt contains products belonging to a category that also has subcategories, Open2b will automatically create an additional sub-department with the same name as the category and place the product there.

Example: The product “Quadro La gioconda” is present in Danea EasyFatt in a category “Quadri” that also has the subcategory “Paesaggi”.
During import, Open2b:

  1. creates the “Quadri” department
  2. inside it creates the “Quadri” sub-department at the same level as the “Paesaggi” sub-department
  3. places the product “Quadro La gioconda” in the “Quadri” sub-department

Manual mapping between Open2b departments and Danea EasyFatt categories

If in Open2b you want to add and use sub-departments at a deeper level than the one present in Danea EasyFatt, then you need to:

  1. in Catalog > Departments, select the sub-department.
  2. in the Texts section, enter in the Import Code field:
    • the exact name of the Danea EasyFatt category, if it has no subcategories
    • the two names joined by “/”, like “category name/subcategory name”, without spaces, if the subcategory exists.
