Once at least one seller, one template, one shipping method, and one profile have been created in the eBay app, you can prepare listings to publish on eBay.

Status and actions

Listings managed in the Open2b eBay app can be created from products available in Open2b. Listings can be in one of the following statuses:

• Not for sale: this is the initial status of a listing. Possible action: List for sale.
• For sale: the status of a listing published on eBay. Possible actions: Apply changes; Close.
• Ended: the status of a listing that has naturally expired without resulting in an order. Possible action: Relist.
• Closed: the status of a listing closed before its natural expiration, regardless of whether items were sold. Possible action: Relist.
• Sold: the status of a listing that ended with the sale of one or more units of the item. Possible action: Relist.

The allowed operations for each listing depend on the status the listing is in.

Creating a listing

The Open2b eBay app lets you create either a single listing for products that have variants, or as many listings as there are SKUs for a product. To create one or more listings:

1. In Open2b, go to the Catalog section.
2. Go to the Products subsection.
3. Select the products you want to create listings from.
4. Click the Apps button.
5. Click Create eBay listings. A new window will open.
6. Choose the profile to associate with the listings.
7. If you want to create a single listing for each product with variants, select the option Create a single listing for products with variants. If not selected, a separate listing will be created for each product SKU.
8. Click Create listings; the total number of listings created will be shown.
9. Click Close.

Publishing a listing

In the Listings section of the app, newly created listings are initially in the Not for sale status. The listing list shows the title with the associated profile, the corresponding Open2b product or SKU, the current price, the offers received, the quantities sold, the time remaining until the listing expires, and the listing status. To publish a listing on eBay:

1. Go to the Listings section.
2. Select the listings you want to publish.
3. Click Actions; the list of actions will open.
4. Click List for sale...; a new window will open with the message I am calculating the fees cost. Calculated fees are indicative, do not include fees on sales, for example, and refer to the total of the selected listings (with and without warnings).
5. If listings have errors, you will not be able to proceed with publishing them. Listings with warnings can still be published.
6. If you want to stop publishing to check errors and warnings, click cancel quote and check result. You will access the Operation Results section.
7. If you want to proceed with publishing the publishable listings, click Publish.

Operation results

Operations performed on listings can generate three types of messages:

• Info: The operation was successful
• Warning: The listing can still be published but eBay may in some cases make changes to the listing
• Error: The listing cannot be published or a temporary error occurred during publication

Editing a listing

Listing information can be edited.

As a result of product or SKU changes in Open2b

The listing is linked to a product or a specific SKU. Changes to information such as prices, quantities, variants, and available options are applied to For sale listings when the Apply changes operation is performed and under the conditions specified in the Profile. Any changes to the product or SKU name in Open2b are not considered. To apply changes on eBay:

1. Select the for sale listings whose changes you want to apply on eBay.
2. Click Actions.
3. Select Apply changes. The results of the operation will be shown in the Operation Results section.

Manually

Editable fields are:

• Title: at the time of creation, the title is the product or SKU name with variant information if present.
• Subtitle: you can add a subtitle to the listing.
• eBay Store Categories: if you manage an eBay Store, you can define up to two categories in which to display the listing.
• Item specifics: how many and which ones depends on the eBay category set in the profile. You can add custom ones.

The change affects For sale listings when the Apply changes operation is performed and according to the conditions specified in the Profile.

To manually edit a listing:

1. Go to the Listings section and click the listing to edit.
2. Edit the fields as desired.
3. Click Save.

To apply the changes on eBay:

1. Select the for sale listings whose changes you want to apply on eBay.
2. Click Actions.
3. Select Apply changes. The results of the operation will be shown in the Operation Results section.

Automatically at the Profile level.

Automatic updating at a set frequency is provided for quantities and prices of For sale listings of the Buy it now type, when associated SKUs change in Open2b. You can keep prices, quantities, or both updated.

Closing one or more listings

For sale listings can be closed early by indicating the reason for closure:

• Items are no longer available for sale.
• An error occurred in the listings.
• There are errors in the starting price, Buy it now price, or reserve price.
• Items were lost or damaged.

To close one or more listings:

1. Go to the Listings section.
2. Select the for sale listings you want to close.
3. Click Actions.
4. Select Close. A new window will open to choose the reason for closing.
5. Choose the reason for closing.
6. Click Close listings.

Relisting one or more listings

Listings in the Closed, Ended, and Sold statuses can be relisted. Listings will be published with the same characteristics as when they were previously published.

To relist a listing:

1. Go to the Listings section.
2. Select the listings you want to relist.
3. Click Actions; the list of actions will open.
4. Click Relist...; a new window will open with the message I am calculating the fees cost. Calculated fees are indicative, do not include fees on sales, for example, and refer to the total of the selected listings (with and without warnings).
5. If listings have errors, you will not be able to proceed with publishing them. Listings with warnings can still be published.
6. If you want to stop publishing to check errors and warnings, click cancel quote and check result. You will access the Operation Results section.
7. If you want to proceed with publishing the publishable listings, click Publish.

Deleting one or more listings

Listings can be deleted from the Open2b eBay app. Listings that have already been published on eBay will remain on eBay unchanged; you simply will no longer be able to manage them through the Open2b eBay app.

To delete a listing:

1. Go to the Listings section.
2. Select the listings you want to delete.
3. Click Delete. A new confirmation window will open.
4. Verify that you selected the correct listings and click OK.
