Shipments

Open2b lets you track order shipments. Starting from an order you can create one or more shipments and for each manage shipping and delivery dates, tracking, and shipped products.

In Open2b editions that include them, shipments are also important in return management. Customers can request a return from the site only for products that have been delivered, meaning those for which there is a shipment with a delivery date equal to or later than today's date.

Create a shipment

  1. Go to the Sales section.
  2. Go to the Orders subsection.
  3. Select the order you want to ship.
  4. Click the Ship button.
  5. Fill in the fields as desired.
  6. Click Save.

Edit a shipment

  1. Go to the Sales section.
  2. Go to the Orders subsection.
  3. Select the order related to the shipment you want to edit.
  4. For the shipment you want to edit, click the Edit button.
  5. Edit the shipment as desired.
  6. Click Save.

Delete a shipment

Note

In the Enterprise edition of Open2b, a shipment can be deleted only if it has no associated returns.

  1. Go to the Sales section.
  2. Go to the Orders subsection.
  3. Select the order whose shipment you want to delete.
  4. Click the × button next to the shipment to delete. A new confirmation window will open.
  5. Verify you selected the correct shipment and click OK.
