Assign a catalog collection to customers

Each customer is assigned a catalog collection that determines which products are shown in the catalog on the site. Catalog collections can be assigned to a customer group, and thus apply to all customers in the group, or to a single customer.

Assign a catalog collection to a customer group

Note

The catalog collection of a customer group determines which products the group's customers see in the catalog on the site, unless they have a different collection assigned.

  1. Go to the Customers section.
  2. Go to the Groups subsection.
  3. Select the customer group to which you want to assign a catalog collection.
  4. Under Collections select the catalog collection to assign to all customers in the group.
  5. Click Save.

Assign a catalog collection to a single customer

Note

By assigning a catalog collection directly to a single customer, they will see in the site catalog the products from the collection assigned to them instead of the products from the collection assigned to their customer group.

  1. Go to the Customers section.
  2. Go to the Customers subsection.
  3. Select the customer to whom you want to assign a catalog collection.
  4. Click the Change button in the panel where the Collection item appears. A new overlay window will open.
  5. Next to the Collection item, select the catalog collection you want to assign to the customer, or select the empty item to assign no collection.
  6. Click Save.
