Promote products

To promote a product on the store site with Open2b, you can use product promotions. This type of promotion lets you target individual products or the departments, manufacturers, or attribute values that products must have to be eligible.

Create a promotion for one or more products

Go to the Marketing section.
Go to the Promotions subsection.
Click New Promotion.
Select Discount or fixed price on one or more products.
Enter the name for the promotion.
Under Offer, specify a percentage discount, a fixed discount, or a fixed price for the product. If you want the promotion to apply only when a certain number of products are added to the cart, select "Buy X quantity" and choose the promotion type from the dropdown.
Under Validity, choose the date range and time slots during which it will be active.
Under Customers, choose which customer groups it should apply to.
If you want the promotion to apply in the cart only when the total cost falls within a specific amount, under The total cart cost must be set the minimum or maximum amount, or both.
If you want the promotion to apply only when the customer provides a coupon code, select Only to customers who provide the coupon code and enter the coupon code.
If you want the promotion to be single-use, select Can be used only once by each customer (verification is done on the email).
Under Apply to, choose whether the promotion applies to products, departments, manufacturers, or attribute values.
Click Add ... to add the products, departments, manufacturers, or attribute values the promotion should apply to.
Under Priority set the priority that determines the application order relative to other promotions on the same product. It must be between 1 (highest) and 100 (lowest).
Choose the combination rules that determine how the promotion is combined with other promotions on the same product.
Click Add.

The newly created promotion, if active and without a discount code, is shown on the store site on the promotions page and possibly on the home page. The promotion also has its own page that shows details with all products on promotion. A reference to the promotion can also be published on the individual product page.

Buy 3 pay 2

You can create a Buy 3 pay 2 promotion as follows:

Select Buy X quantity and select and pay only Y from the dropdown.
Enter 3 in the Buy field.
Choose how the minimum quantity should be calculated (on the same SKU, on SKUs of the same product, or even on different products).
Enter 2 in the Pay field.

Buy 2 items, 20% off the cheapest

You can create this promotion as follows:

Select Buy X quantity and select of products and get a discount on the cheapest from the dropdown.
Enter 2 in the Buy field.
Choose how the minimum quantity should be calculated (on the same SKU, on SKUs of the same product, or even on different products).
Select Discount of in the Get menu and enter 20 as the discount percentage.
