Return reasons
Open2b lets you set the reasons the customer must indicate when requesting a return for a product. Some examples of return reasons we could set are:
- The size is too small or too large
- The color is not what I expected
- The product arrived broken or not working
We can also decide, through the return rules, whether to allow the customer to indicate any reason among those we set or only some based on the product or the customer requesting the return.
Create a new return reason
- Go to the Settings section.
- Go to the Returns subsection.
- Click the Return reasons tab.
- Click New Reason.
- Enter the description of the reason, as it will be visible to customers, for each language present.
- Click Add.
Note
When you create a new return reason, it might not be among those selectable by the customer on the site. This happens if the applied return rule does not allow choosing among all return reasons. In that case, modify the return rule.
Edit a return reason
- Go to the Settings section.
- Go to the Returns subsection.
- Click the Return reasons tab.
- Select the return reason to edit.
- Edit the description as desired.
- Click Save.
Delete one or more return reasons
- Go to the Settings section.
- Go to the Returns subsection.
- Click the Return reasons tab.
- Select the checkboxes on the right of the return reasons you want to delete.
- Click Delete. A new confirmation window will open.
- Verify you selected the correct return reasons and click OK.
Warning
Deleting a return reason will also remove it from products already returned, therefore losing track of the reason for which the return was requested.
Alternatively, you can also modify the return rules so that this reason is no longer visible and selectable by customers for future returns.
