Products
The Products subsection of the Catalog section is dedicated to managing catalog products. In this section you can:
- Add a new product.
- Edit the features, prices, presentation, and images of a product.
- Temporarily remove a product from the catalog.
- Create multiple variants for a product.
- Link a product to other products.
- Add attributes to a product.
- Delete a product.
The subsection opens with the list of all products in the catalog.
At the top right of the product list there are buttons to add a new product and to delete products.
On the left there is the search function, the filter by manufacturer, and the list of departments to navigate the department structure. This tool makes it easier to find the product you want to work on and is useful if the list is large and spread across multiple pages. The Customer group menu lets you view product prices for a specific customer group.
Initially, products are listed by last modified date to highlight the most recent changes, but Open2b lets you choose other sorting criteria by clicking the column headers, for example alphabetical order, highest or lowest sale price, etc...
Stock on hand for a new product, the reorder point, and the stock level are initially entered when adding a new product and can later be edited in the Stock on hand subsection of the Inventory section.

- Go to the Catalog section.
- Click New Product. The product creation page opens.

If there are validation errors, each field with incorrect values will be followed by a message describing the error. If there are no errors, the product page will be shown where you can fill in additional information if desired.
The product page has several tabs at the top where you can manage different aspects of the product:
- Product: manage code, department, display and sales options, and prices for the first SKU.
- SKUs: manage product SKUs. There is always at least the primary SKU.
- Images: manage product images.
- Texts: manage the name, descriptions, and indexing text in different languages.
- Technical Sheet: manage downloadable attachments and the additional product technical sheet.
- Related: manage accessory and similar products.
- Attributes: manage product attributes that can be shown on the site.
